Full Article 11 minutes read

The Maldives is considered to be one of the world’s premier destinations for romance, where couples can sit on their private terrace and dangle their feet over the water, lay on fine white sand, and be completely pampered. Its miles of turquoise water, extensive reef system, and unlimited amount of stunning beaches got it a spot on Brides magazine’s The Top 100 Honeymoon Destinations for 2018. It is the perfect destination for adults to get away from it all and immerse themselves in all that the Maldives has to offer.

Surprisingly, for a destination known for romance, there are not a lot of exclusively adult only resorts in the archipelago. In fact, holidays in the Maldives have become somewhat of a family affair, with more and more Maldives hotels offering family-friendly villas and facilities. There are very few resorts today that solely offer all inclusive holidays for adults, with the no children rule becoming something that is scarce. One way that many island beach resorts work around this is by only allowing adults to stay in water villas. Others have separate areas that are completely child-free, creating adults only all inclusive holidays in a completely separate area of the resort.

A way to avoid families on holidays in the Maldives is to go visit during an off season. Staying in a spa resort is another way to enjoy 5 star all inclusive holidays adults only, as these are generally geared more towards romance. Thankfully, there are still a few adult hotels in the Maldives that focus all of their efforts on giving their guests a truly memorable, child-free experience. These are our picks for the best Maldives resorts for adults.
